Burnside Review 4.1
Submissions are now closed for issue 4.1, “The L.A. Issue”. The issue will feature an interview with Wanda Coleman conducted by editor, Sid Miller. The issue will also feature work from a large number of L.A. area writers, including, Martha Ronk, David St. John, Carol Muske-Dukes, Amy Gerstler and Ralph Angel. We are currently accepting submission of poetry for Issue 5.1, which which will be out March 2009.
2007 Burnside Review Fiction Contest Results
Results are now available for this year’s contest. Congratulations to Pedro Ponce and his manuscript Superstitions of Apartment Life, which was chosen as the winner by Judge Aimee Bender. His chapbook will appear this summer. Complete results are listed on our contests page.

An independent poetry journal hailing from Portland, Oregon. We just received our 501©(3) non-profit status from the federal government. Begun in the wee hours of 2004, we are currently putting together our 7th issue. Copies are available for purchase on-line or at these super fine bookstores: Powell’s (Portland), Looking Glass (Portland), Open Books (Seattle), Quimby’s (Chicago) and City Lights (San Francisco). We are 6×6, perfect bound, with beautiful color covers.
